Our Story
My name is Jo and I live at Petal and Plume HQ in Hampshire, with my amazingly supportive family. Petal and Plume came about through our love of the countryside; flowers, birds, minibeasts, the lot! Our children love finding feathers and flowers on walks, hence the name. I love capturing, savouring and appreciating the beauty in the little things in life. As well as running my own business, I'm a part time primary school teacher.
As a family, we are trying to be greener and raise our children to understand the importance of caring for the flora and fauna. We have just started to grow our own vegetables and are learning to grow, dry and press some flowers to add to jewellery in the future. All feathers are found by ourselves on walks or sourced ethically from other companies.
I wanted to make affordable, comfortable jewellery that celebrates the beauty of patterns, colours and items of nature. Petal and Plume is an eco-conscious business and I try to use eco-friendly products whenever possible.
